Free beer until the barrels are empty
Because no barrels could be sold to the off-trade and restaurants due to the Corona virus, the Kundmüller brewery is threatened by the expiration date of 100 hectoliters of beer. That is 10,000 liters of beer. 20,000 Seidla. Instead of throwing it away, the managing directors Roland and Oswald Kundmüller had an idea. From the start of the pick-up service in the brewery inn Kundmüller on Friday, May 8th, a free pint, locally called „Seidla" can be tapped on your own for every meal ordered and every full box of beer bought in the in-house drinks market. “We much prefer that to simply seeing our beer run into the gully. And if we can make our guests happy, it’s even much the better”, says Roland Kundmüller about the free beer.
And this is how it works:
1. Place your order: The dishes should be ordered no later than the day before. By calling 09503/4338 (Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or by email to email@example.com. 2. Pick-up your meal: the Pick-up is open on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For environmental reasons, you can bring your own containers for the meal.
3. Tap the free beer yourself: The beer can be tapped directly n place from the barrel and taken away. Please remember to bring a container to put your beer in (i.g. bottle, jug, jar). For your safety a disinfectant is ready in place and must be used. The usual regulations also apply to our pick-up service: keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters. Do not consume on site.
4. Donations: If you want to draw more than one free Seidla, you are welcome to donate to the Sternenzelt children's hospice in Bamberg. The donation box is just next to the barrel.
